Waking Up earrrrrllly in the morning

waking up at 3.30 in the morning really perturbed me. I couldn't go back to my slumber:) once I got up. so the only thing I did to make myself kinda 'useful' was to arrange my small library stuff, to clean all rooms, and to change the water of my tiny aquarium...

feeling tired....but not the slightest idea of tugging myself into bed came along

so, I took the motorbike out.
flipped the raincoat over--I was using the other night--and stuffed it into my bike's baggage--and ready to use in case of rain.

at around 7.35 I took meity up town to LIA where she teaches children some basic English.

on the way to my home, I thought I could drop by at a petshop to get some fishes, but none of the shops were open, yet.

so, I rushed to go home in time to get myself ready for 9.30 class.
to top it off, I hadn't taken a bath when I realized that it was already 9.00 :)

so...the only thing I could do was to have a quick shower and dialled one of my students telling her that I might be late for class. and I was.
I was 15 minutes late:) AHA!!!

terrible suray...terrible suray :)
well..anyway...I did compensate for the time lost. I extended my class so as to comply with the alloted time (bestowed upon me:) what a language......
ray ray..ray...sometimes you are using words in their most outrageous ways...or their most improper ways (so to speak).

hey..its' FRIDAY
I got to hv my Friday Prayer.
and I got to stop jotting down words in this Bloggy Blogger:)

Kitchen Cabinet....

last night ...I drove around the city with my wife to help her find a kitchen cabinet she's been looking for...
well...we did find one.
it cost only Rp 400,000
but wait...
that is not the original price...we bought it on sale. it was actually...around 600 or so. but we finally got a discounted price on account that we bought another stuff...and we did, for sure.

a garden wooden-bench that I've been setting my eyes on for a couple of weeks is finally ours.
it cost only about Rp 300,000
well not quite different from what I had expected before.

the thing is...
we don't need to stuff our kitchen goods under the table or wrap them up in plastics so as to keep our kitchen clean.
from now on...we have a nice and clean kitchen cabinet to store our kitchen-stuffs up

......before deciding what to buy...and where to buy
some preliminary "road-shows" have been tagged along the way

we visited some places to take a peep of the real prices
we had made our decisions...

now...we did it.
we love it.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie that I love

another review from Boston Globe ...

it's good to know that more and more people like this movie...

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

SpongeBob' finally reaches the big screen with a story that kids (and even adults) can soak up

While the digitally created Incredibles are off defending the universe and Tom Hanks and his computer-generated friends are making creepy work of Christmas, all the blocky two-dimensional fast-food fry cook SpongeBob SquarePants wants is a promotion. Bless him.

Before he can settle into management, ''The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie," his first, requires him to perform the occasional act of heroism. But the film, which is as economically made as it is primitively animated, ambles from adventure to adventure, taking nothing seriously, not even itself.

The opening sequence even pays tribute to the picture's own hype, as a gang of live-action pirates open a treasure chest and are thrilled to discover it contains nothing less than tickets to this movie. They sing the theme song and hit the multiplex, confirming that millions of children can't be wrong.

Like the Nickelodeon show that inspired it, ''The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" understands that its animated hero is inherently weird, which makes him endearing and sort of chic. But the movie tries to get away with more than the TV show, boldly toying with its PG rating. This may explain why the two hicks SpongeBob and Patrick meet at the county line are almost bumping booties. It's funny, it's really bizarre, and it doesn't hold up the action.

After spending his entire TV life as the fry cook at the Krusty Krab on the floor of the Pacific Ocean, SpongeBob is ready for management at Mr. Krabs's spanking new Krusty Krab 2. But, inexplicably, Mr. Krabs entrusts SpongeBob's nebbishy neighbor and co-worker Squidward with the job.

There is time for SpongeBob to redeem himself. When King Neptune freezes Mr. Krabs for stealing his crown (therefore exposing his balding hair pattern), Bob drags along his best friend, the starfish Patrick, to retrieve it. They cross the border of Bikini Bottom, their undersea town, to Shell City, and then above ground. There all manner of live-action shenanigans await, including the totally flagrant appearance of David Hasselhoff as a life-guardian angel who runs along the beach, ''Baywatch"-style -- shirtless and in slo-mo.

Most children might think Hasselhoff makes a neat human Jet Ski for SpongeBob and Patrick. But over the years, they'll come to understand. He is to this movie what stars such as Milton Berle and Joan Rivers were to Muppet movies: a kitschy investment that appreciates with age.

''The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" features the guest vocal stylings of Jeffrey Tambor as Neptune, Scarlett Johansson as his daughter Mindy, and Alec Baldwin as a churlish foe. They mingle well with series regulars such as Tom Kenny, who does SpongeBob's shrill voice, and Clancy Brown, who talks for Mr. Krabs.

Underneath the fun, the movie is a valentine to the joys and pains of capitalism. After all, SpongeBob has ''deals" with everything from Target to Cheese Nips. It turns out, for instance, that Mr. Krabs's conniving foe Plankton stole Neptune's crown and framed his rival, whose business success has made an envious schemer of little demonic Plankton. But before he's put in a deep freeze, Mr. Krabs exclaims, ''I love money!" (What else is Krusty Krab 2 but an ode to the inevitable ''SpongeBob" sequel?) And when he finds out his boss has been made a Popsicle, all Squidward can ask is, ''Who's going to sign my paychecks?" (This is the same cynic who, in one episode, told SpongeBob, ''I order the food. You cook the food. We do that for 40 years, then we die.")

In any case, this big-screen romp guarantees that SpongeBob will remain an icon of taking it easy for the young and stressed-out. The movie even ends with a speaker-busting, Twisted Sisterly rock-out that some overworked kids might appreciate on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I would not leave saving the world to SpongeBob, but I'd trust him unconditionally to flip my cheeseburgers.

SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

So: This is the very best of what critics have to say about the latest move of SpongeBob....

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
BY ROGER EBERT / November 19, 2004
Cast & CreditsWith the voices of:SpongeBob: Tom Kenny Dennis: Alec Baldwin Squidward: Rodger Bumpass Plankton: Mr. Lawrence King Neptune: Jeffrey Tambor Patrick: Bill Fagerbakke Sandy Cheeks: Carolyn Lawrence Mindy the Mermaid: Scarlett JohanssonParamount Pictures presents a film directed by Stephen Hillenburg. Written by Hillenburg, Derek Drymon, Tim Hill, Kent Osborne, Aaron Springer and Paul Tibbett. Running time: 90 minutes. Rated PG (for some mild crude humor).
Printer-friendly » I've been telling that joke for years, to people who regard me in silence and mystification. If it made you smile even a little, you are a candidate for "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie." This is the "Good Burger" of animation, plopping us down inside a fast-food war being fought by sponges, starfish, crabs, tiny plankton and mighty King Neptune.
SpongeBob (voice by Tom Kenny) has a ready-made legion of fans who follow his adventures every Saturday morning on Nickelodeon. I even know parents who like the show, which is fast-paced and goofy and involves SpongeBob's determination to amount to something in this world. In the movie, he dreams of becoming manager of Krusty Krab II, the new outlet being opened by Eugene H. Krabs (Clancy Brown), the most successful businesscrab in the ocean-floor community of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob may only be a kid, but he's smart and learns fast, and reminded me of Ed, the hero of the live-action Nickelodeon series "Good Burger" ("Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger! Can I take your order PLEASE?").
SpongeBob, like all sponges I suppose, has a thing about cleanliness, and to watch him take a shower is inspiring. First he eats a cake of soap. Then he plunges a hose into the top of his head and fills up with water, exuding soap bubbles from every pore, or would that be orifice, or crevice? Then he pulls on his SquarePants and hurries off for what he expects to be a richly deserved promotion.
Alas, the job goes to Squidward Tentacles (Rodger Bumpass), who has no rapport with the customers but does have seniority. A kid can't handle the responsibility, Eugene Krabs tells SpongeBob. This is a bitter verdict, but meanwhile intrigue is brewing in Bikini Bottom. Plankton, who runs the spectacularly unsuccessful rival food stand named the Chum Bucket, plans to steal Eugene's famous recipe for Krabby Patties. As part of this plot, Plankton (Mr. Lawrence) has King Neptune's crown stolen, and frames Eugene Krabs with the crime, so it's up to SpongeBob and his starfish friend Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke) to venture to the forbidden no-go zone of Shell City (which is no doubt near Shell Beach, and you remember Shell Beach). There they hope to recapture the crown, restore it to King Neptune (Jeffrey Tambor), save Mr. Krabs from execution, and get SpongeBob the promotion.
All of this happens in jolly animation with bright colors and is ever so much more entertaining than you are probably imagining. No doubt right now you're asking yourself why you have read this far in the review, given the near-certainty that you will not be going anywhere near a SpongeBob SquarePants movie, unless you are the parent or adult guardian of a SpongeBob SquarePants fan, in which case your fate is sealed. Assuming that few members of SpongeBob's primary audience are reading this (or can read), all I can tell you is, the movie is likely to be more fun than you expect.
The opening, for example, is inexplicable, unexpected and very funny, as a boatload of pirates crowd into the front of a movie theater to see SpongeBob. These are real flesh-and-blood pirates, not animated ones, and part of the scene's charm comes because it is completely gratuitous. So, for that matter, is the appearance of another flesh-and-blood actor in the movie, David Hasselhoff, who gives SpongeBob and Patrick a high-speed lift back to Bikini Bottom and then propels them to the deeps by placing them between his pectoral muscles and flexing and popping. This is not quite as disgusting as it sounds, but it comes close.
I confess I'm not exactly sure if the residents of Bikini Bottom are cannibals; what, exactly, is in Eugene H. Krabs' Krabby Patties if not ... krabs? Does the Chum Bucket sell chum? No doubt faithful viewers of the show will know. I am reminded of the scene in "Shark Tale" when Lenny, the vegetarian shark, becomes an activist and frees a shrimp cocktail.
One of the stranger scenes in "SBSP" comes when SpongeBob and Patrick get wasted at Goofy Goober's nightclub, where ice cream performs the same function as booze. This leads to the ice cream version of a pie fight, and terrible hangovers the next morning; no wonder, as anyone who has ever used a sponge on ice cream can testify.

TOSHIBA air conditioner

Toshiba air conditioner.
well...it was not intended to do some commercial breakdown or something.
I just happened to have bought one of the products.
the other night..I decided to buy an air conditioner.
practically speaking..Jogjakarta is terribly hot lately.
I bet it is around 33 Celcius. gosh..what a hot day.
some even said that a few days ago..it was 36!!!
what?????
yes, it WAS.

anyway...Now I got my new AC.
I got this confusion as to what kind of AC to buy. the only thing I had on my mind was an ionizer kind of stuff. I heard 'tis good. but to my surprise..the price is TOOOOO goood, too (so DARN expensive). Panasonic Organix series (or so I say......Dian Sastro Wardoyo's series..as seen onTV ? ) hehaha...IS also expensive.

so It took me almost an hour to decide whether I had to buy Toshiba or Panasonic.
and finally I ended up buying Toshiba for its antibacterial and fungal stuff...or so I read.
and it also this features like: self cleaning. bio stuff bla bla bla..

last night..
my wife and I were so busy covering all the air-inlets in our house. we did it for three consecutive hours without rest.
it was indeed tiring to cover all part of the house with plastic:) no no no..not all part of the house but only the "angin-angin" ..gosh what is angin2 in English? anway...???

hahaah

hmmm.....it is a good way to start a day by soaking yourself in an air-conditioned room

p.s.
we even bought an air-freshener ...and we had it hung on the AC small inlet...
cool....................

3 more days to Lebaran

3 more days to LEbaran. Idul Fitri. Eid Mubarak
well..well.well..
it's just goonnnnaaa be great. I hope so.

Remix of Ren Tobing's hit single

The remix of Ren Tobing's newest hit single...'Cinta Terlarang' is not that cool.
it lacks the intensity of its original.
but still...it offers me a kind of new 'genre' or should I call it ' viewpoint' of how to perceive and enjoy the original soundtrack OST of Arisan
well..
it is good.

masih ngantuk

trying..and trying..and keep trying.
the only thing I got is just to keep trying.

at around 6.30...denny showed up right in front of the gate..asking me to open it.
dangling...still..
rambut acak acakan.
masih ngantuk.
and I got no other choice but to let him in.

and what I did was ....
throwing the key to him...and instead of opening it for him...I had him open it by himself...^^

Cinta Terlarang and Jika Surga dan Neraka Tidak Pernah Ada

finally.
I got it.
well..'tis not what I actually had in mind...
but at least it soothed my aching raving for.....this OST.:)
I bought Ren Tobing's latest hit ' forbidden love'
after such a long time waiting to have it distributed, I got a chance to own it on my own:0
the forbidden love' song as I heard it for the first time in Arisan indeed captured my imagination for Nia DiNata really made it work for the movie.

Cinta Terlarang
so it is called in Indonesian.
this particular soundtrack of Arisan finally out for sale in store across the country.
the latest video clip featuring some clips of the movie also make this song a hit in recent weeks.
the airing of Arisan OST on MTV also makes it famous.
well...at least to my opinion, so to speak.

---
so, this afternoon I rushed into Galleria Mall just to find this OST.
the first thing I had on my mind was to find the original soundtrack of Arisan...but to my dismay..I found none.
It turned out that there is yet to anything as OST of Arisan....apart from this Ren Tobing's song entitled 'CInta Terlarang' album.

well...I got no other choice but to buy it.
the tape is really kinda simple. nothing interesting..except for hit song 'cinta terlarang' and 'Kau dan Aku' or so..If I'm not mistaken.
even..the album provides access to download some ringtones of some songs featured in the album. kinda cool, eh?

I think I may give it a try some time.

and the second album I bought today is ...Chrisye's newest album entitled SENYAWA.
well..it is called SENYAWA for all of the songs featured in the album are the result of his collaboration with other famous Indonesian singers, like So7, Naif, Peterpan and ....:)

the song that made me intrigued to buy the tape is...Jika Surga dan Neraka Tak Pernah Ada...
If only Heaven and Hell didn't exist....

the video klip is so good that I wanted to buy it instantly as I watched in on MTV the other day.

good.
deal.
suray.

finally finished

yesterday I finally got my things done. especially the research that I've been doing for about 5 months.
the most relieving thing was that I managed to make some copies enough to submit to the board of examiners.
4 copies.
5 months.
more than 300 pages long.
red colored.
cramming. cramming. cramming for the last 2 days just to prepare this stuff.

gosh..what a relief.

movies rental

lately...I've had this terrrrribleeeeee habit.
I never return the movies I rented on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and that makes me get fine whenever I return VCD or DVDs I rent.
well....
luckily enough...it's a good thing that some gals in Studio ONE (the only place in Jogja I rent movies from) know me quite well..that at
times they just charged me with a very limited or small amount of money
quite diff. from what I was to have paid:) haha

hmmm good, eh...

Hallyu Done, Euy

saturday.
the day I was waiting for. well..at least to my expectation..or sort of.
I kinda waited this day, for there was a seminar on research topic I have been working on.
I got to present the research findings or else....I won't get another research fund for the coming term.
at least I did it.
I couldn't have been more pleased of what I did today.

I DID IT.

Hallyu...: this is just what my topic is all about.
about this Korean waves that sweep across Asian countries through its music, movies and stuffs....

sigh....and relieved.

the presentation started at about 8.15 this morning and it is now 3.15 in the afternoon..and gosh...it was so tiring to talk and listen to other participants' research findings.

to top it all....it is Fasting Month.

hey hey hey..:) suray..u're not supposed to blame Ramadhan for this.
ooops sorry.
right.

I was wrong.

anyway.....I am relieved that finally I presented my paper and just to make some finishing touch to make it perfect.

and today...I may have a chance to go to Kaliurang with some friends of mine to have a FastBreaking together (read: Buka Puasa)

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Kuala Lumpur

The second time of being in KL really perturbed me in a sense of being aesthetic. I love it. I just got here yesterday (Sept.25, 2004) at 5 pm. And it was my first time ever to be in KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport). Gosh…indeed it is the best airport I have ever been to for such a while. I thought I was in Incheon (Seoul International Airport) when I got there…because the chic was just the same…but what makes KLIA differs from Incheon is its human-touch state of the art architecture. It captured me.
So..I took the sky train to the baggage claim and immigration section. ..one thing that really captivated my attention. I assume KLIA is designed so…..as to make people feel the difference. KLIA really makes my experience cool enough to share with others.

And so…as soon as got from the train, I remembered that I didn’t have a single Ringgit with me. So…the only thing that popped out of my mind was to find any money changer. The first one that caught my attention was Maybank…but it turned out that the dollar I got was not acceptable. Simply put…without giving me any reasons why…I was told to try some other money changers…and so I did.
I forgot what it was…but luckily I managed to change a hundred buck into Ringgit. Gosh..what a realief.
And then…I rushed myself to the entrance door…to find anyone…who might have waited for me..
And it was not easy as I thought…
I had no idea of who would pick me up at the airport. I kept looking at each papers and lots of inscriptions written on papers.. Lots of people were carrying their hotel names complete with each hotel’s guests. But none of them is mineJ oh sigh

And then I circled and circled all people…
Nothing worked.
I found no one carrying a plate inscribed with my name…
And then…I circled for one last time…when I got my attention to one paper and my name written on itJ

midterm exam

finally I finished making the items for midterm exams. a couple of classes needed my full attention since last week. I got to be prepared or else.....my students wouldn't be dissapointed as to find nothing to do:0

woke up late ..as usual.
rushed my bike to campus.
dashed all barriers.

and here I am again. right in front of my blogs.
jotting down thoughts and pondering what life has in store for me..at least for today.

my sister sms-ed me ..telling that my Dad is coming to Yogya. I thought he was scheduled to arrive some time next week:)
but ....
it turned out that he changed his plan wihout giving me prior notice...even via sms:
still...I got to make up my rooms
and prepare some stuffs before he arrives.

but I am sure ..pretty much sure...that by the time I finished writing this blogs...he is already at my place.

project accomplished

hmm sebenarnya ada apa sih...
sudah lama saya nggak nongol nongol walaupun sekedar 'nginguk' to take a peep on my blogs.
gosh...it's been such a hectic week.
as soon as I got home from Kuala Lumpur...I got a tight schedule of preparing my research project. I got to finish making the report as of Oct.9. Well....as a matter of fact, I did it.

didn't have enough sleep.

didn't have enough time to eat.

let alone.....watching movies as I always did before this chaotic week came along.

but...hey....look at the bright side.
I found lots of things to see.
and it turned out that I managed to finish all of my projects in time for the screening session.
now I just got to pull myself together..so as to make me have extra energy to keep the good work.:) :D

good, you said, eh?

actually I should've jotted this thought down a few days ago...
no harm done..

I am good...as good as I could be..:)

latest movies I saw

shark tale, ladder 49, windstruck (Korean movie).
just watched those.
great.....!
Shark Tale, especially the vegie boy Lenny really amused me and he is really cute:) damned cute.
the way he talks and moves makes me tugged away into the most amusing smile I ever put on my face...
even I took him into my dreams......
gosh...what a vegie shark.

Ramadhan2

wooden pergola

I got this well prepared stuff at hand when I had to teach.
and..the thing just went off so well that at times I couldn't differentiate whether I had done it correctly or not..quite..

I watered the plants right after I finished my dawn prayer. And then..the next thing I did was to take a bath while meity helped me iron my clothes I am wearing now:) and...
the next thing was....I was once again..speeding up to campus...in fear of getting caught in the traffic jam and being late to campus.
luckily I managed to get to campus in time before the class began.

and...today..I did enjoy teaching 'cos some students did show their enthusiam of learning English with me.

the thought of having a nice group of students in class really helped me a lot

then..I went to PSK. and now I'm still at the office...
and today..I am to meet a carpenter I met the other night. He is to do something with my house's veranda. actually..my wife and I am designing a wooden pergola and we decided to ask someone else do the job.
of course.....:)

this is the start of the day...

I give my all to have one more night with you...
I'd risk my life to have one more night with you...
I'd give my all to have just one more night with you...

this is MC's song that I am listening to while I am writing down this blog...

this morning..I started my Kapita Selekta Masyarakat Korea course. it turned out that about 14 students enrolled in my class. Indeed, this kinda makes me happy since I don't have to concentrate on things and stuffs that I don't need to pay attention to.
the less students, the more energetic the class would be...or so I think.

today...my introductory class only covered rough description of what they would encounter for the next 4 month-long semester. This included the introductory course by san (that's me:)....

and I was just giving away questions to be answered..
at times I gave each student ample time to consider how they perceived Korea once they heard its name.
and it turned out that some notions popped out of their mind...

I think it's gonna be a great class...

afternoon jots

I just finished teaching writing Hangeul or Korean alphabet to the new enthusiasts in my class. well..some really show their big interest in learning Korean. But some think that they may encounter troubles as they proceed to the next level. Still, ..somehow...I recommend them to keep trying and never stop studying.

I am so relieved that today's class is over.
and one more good news is that...I don't have to submit the first draft of my research this week. I still have 3 weeks to finish it. gosh....what a relief.

okey suray...
let's make the best of your time while you got ample of time.

breakfast.rain.bank.class.relieved

luckily I managed to ask the man in charge of the shop. He did help me.
and while he was taking care of my bike...I took my time to have light breakfast...well..not quite light, though...for I had 'gudeg' for breakfast. it cost me 2500 rups. and glad...that ...in time when I had just finished my meal...the bike was ready.
and the man charged me 3000 rups for the service fee...but instead of giving him 3, I gave him 5000 rups....as a token of my gratitude for being helpful.

and...the drizzling started.

I dropped by at gudeg place again to order a take-away gudeg for meity.
I almost forgot that I got to buy her some meal as well.

and...so...it all went well.
she had her breakfast while I was taking a bath.

and...we went to campus together....
actually..I just took her for a ride for a while..to the place where she was supposed to have a meeting an hour earlier.:)
but things got their ways...

I managed to go to campus just in time for me to prepare stuffs before teaching.
and also, I managed to go to the bank for my home loan.

relieved.

Flat tire ....and.... rainy day

Today I never thought that I would encounter rainy days on summer! Right, it was raining since 3 in the morning. I was soundly sleeping when my wife woke me up out of nowhere telling me that it had been raining for quite some time and she wondered if our clothes had been caught in the rain. well....it's not that I don't like it...but the thought of waking me up loudly really startled me out of my sleep. :)....
and she was right. some clothes that were being hung dry....were soaking wet.

...and we woke up late.
cleaned the house. opened up the curtains of the house. putting off the lamps. and ....just when I was about to take my motorbike out of the room...I noticed something strange in my bike. I couldn't even move it. It became uncommonly heavy. heavier than it usually was. and to my surprise...it got a flat tire.:) ^^ oh nooooo...
I had to take my wife to the meeting at 8 and we hadn't even taken a bath..and to make things worse...I got to take the bike to the repair-shop that luckily is situated just about 200 meters from home.

well....with an empty stomach...I briskly changed cloth and took the bike out.

....the repair shop was still closed when I got there.
and what happened next?.....later on...I'll continue the story later on...

TGIF.....:) ^^

As I approached the campus this morning...something irked me. it was my rumbling tummy. yup...I felt this miserable hunger inside my tummy. I didn't hv any idea of what I had gotten myself into...lately. I was sure that I did have my light breakfast this morning right b4 I went to campus...but still..I felt this nausea due to my lack of proper eating habit.

another reason that I could possibly recount was the fact that I slept (again) right after I got my breakfast! aha!!! yup...this really perturbed me.
I was so sleepy right after having meal that I pull myself into bed accordingly...

nothing was standing between me and my pillows once I smell them

I had a little headache as I realized that I had a meeting to catch at 11 o'clock this morning...and it was only 20 minutes to 11 when I woke up. and the worse part...was that I hadn't even taken a bath.
and what a crooked face and flattened hair I got.

simpy put...I looked terrible.
and the only thing I could do was to have the quickest shower I had ever had...
and grabbed some light snack...and without thinking any further of any stuffs that I might have left at home...
I rushed myself to campus.

on my way to campus...I just realized that I got to pick up some copied materials for my afternoon class. and to make thing worse...I didn't have money at all to pay for the copying.
and...that meant I got to take a queue at the ATM.

luckily I managed to get things done..and finished doing things 'out' orderly:) ^^

and..I just finished teaching a few minutes ago...and here I am....sitting here ..jotting down all this thought.

friday...
THank God It's Friday

fish trouble

last night I went to sleep at around 1 o'clock in the morning.
well...some fishes really made me mad...
there were two fishes that kept eating and pushing around other smaller fishes.
I felt kinda stress out to see that the smaller ones were breath-takingly running for their lives and..then...
some thing...came up.
dreadful.
two little neon fishes that I bought died just a few minutes after I mingle them with other fishes in the aquarium.
:( hiks..

but...I could do nothing. I watched them in horror. it was a terrible sight.
then...I couldn't bear it any longer. and the only thing that popped right out of my mind....was to take those two monster-like fishes out of the water.
but it was no easy job.

it took me almost an hour just to take them out. 'cos I was so stupid to think that those two monstrous fishes were just ordinary ones. they were not...to my surprise.
they were so slimy and so slicky. they dodged my hands as I was helplessly trying to catch them.

so...the only thing that seemed so possible was to separate them.
and I did.
gosh...what a relief.
I did that.

Fishy fishy....

It was just 30 mins. past 8 in the evening....the time elapsed so fast.
I was about to go home when I spotted a new shop that sells fishes. well...fish shop...let's call it that way.
It captured my imagination, for apart from selling fresh water fishes...this particular shop also sells sea fishes. I saw lots of clown fishes..or I'd rather call them NEMO.:)

the first thing that I did as soon as I got off the bike was to check the whole displays of aquariums full of varied fishes. ...some I knew before..and some that I hadn't even seen in my life....even for some fishes called NEON. ....brightly shining fishes on both sides of their bodies..
hard to explain...

I was looking around and some guy helped me out picking out some fishes that I had intention to buy.
정말 아름다워요...

then...I spent 16.000 rups. for about 15 fishes.

pre-start to diggin'....

Today is the first day....I am writing to you again, my Blog.
well...it was such a hectic week that I couldn't even touch my comp.
the thing was....I was so withdrawn into some preparation of the new semester that I didn't even have time...even just to jot down a few words into my Blog.

now ..the time is slightly changing.
I am having a lot of time...not to say...I am kinda free.

ooppps I was wrong.

lots of researches and teaching materials preps. are just lurking right in the corner of my notebook. they are waiting for my hands to caress them....so as to make them awake...again.
..after a month-long slumber.

I did nothing to them.
and..the deadline for my research report is due to Sept.9. and that's Next week.!
well...I guess I'd better start diggin' into my notebook again, then...

Electrolux..Front Load Washer...

or so it is called.
but simply I'd rather call it a washing machine. period. without any additional (pre-) remarks ..:0
my wife and I took a chance to peep into an array of electrolux kitchen stuffs and washing machine..
and she set her mind on one particular thing she's been inclining to buy...
and a washing machine.
well...it kinda costs a lot of money..
but...I wanna help her ease her burden of having to wash all the clothes every week.
the piles of cloth we dump every day need our utmost attention..or lest she'd have no time doing her private home industry...
so...we decided to buy one washing machine.
and...
we are going to...
this week.

the Book Shelf just arrived

Now..I have a quite big display of books I've been collecting..for the past few years.
the 2 m X 2 m high book shelf I ordered just arrived in time when I needed this kind of shelf myself.
it really help me a lot in designing my new working room..right at home.

I just needed to rearrange the books, DVDs and CDs I have ..and stack them up onto this new shelf.

dark-brown colored box..I call it.

Toshiba 43" Theather Cool

WEll...something new captured my imagination (or my money) again:)
this new theathrical cool stuff displayed at JEC this week captured my attention.
my long-awaited stuff finally is within my reach. it costs about 9.2 million rupiahs.
well...kinda lots of money.
but hey...if I wanna have some fun with the blastering sound of music and movies right inside my home...I just got what I need.

well...the thing is...I haven't decided if I got to buy this stuff or others...yet.

well..the thought of having this big screen television really..really intrigued me.
well..let's see what's gonna come up....

Book Shelf ...a BIG one.

I think it was just a week ago since I decided to order a quite big book-shelf of my own design. the thing is...I haven't got one for ages...
So, I bought one for about Rp 250.000.
and it soothes me.

this coming friday...I think I will have had it.

Saturday ...

First thing in the morning that I did...was tucking myself back to bed:)
well..I was supposed to get up early to prepare stuffs I got to bring and suits I got to wear on this Saturday's occasion. One professor at campus was delivering her speech as she was appointed as Guru Besar on campus. She got to know me well enough that I was also invited to the ceremony.
Lots of new things to learn from her speech about Cultural Artefacts and stuffs like those. Local Genius. Intangible and tangible cultural heritage.

By lunch time...
we gathered at our campus plaza to have a banquet of food....
met some other lecturers.
met some friends.
some students.

food's good.

Tanjung Tabalong 2

..it took me about 16 hours to get to Tabalong from Jogjakarta. well...we left Jogja at about 8.25 heading for Surabaya for a 4-hour long transit in a small and damped Juanda airport. The truth is that....Juanda is bigger...than Adisucipto Airport in Jogja. The reason I got this cramped feeling over the trip was simply the lack of entertainment and things to do in the airport while waiting for that long. nothing to do. just sitting and doing nothing.
It was lucky that I managed to buy a local newspaper just to kill time.
It didn't work.
It helped a little.
Even I got to scrutinize every bit of small-ads on the paper just to make myself amused.
gosh...
but then...the time for boarding a plane heading to Banjarmasin came.

for about 45 minutes the planed landed at Syamsuddin Noor Airport in Banjar Baru (NOT Banjarmasin as I had thought before).
so...instead of going downtown..we were going further away away from the city.

I thought the trip to Tabalong would take about 4 hours or so. To my surprise..it took me almost 9 hours just to get through a 247 km long distance.
Not to mention the conditions of the rugged roads and the traffic jam that unfortunately seemed like to welcome me on board:)
hehe

well..I can smile now.
BUT I can assure you..that I didnot even pun a smile even a grin on my face. I was crooked and shagged.
nothing to do.
bored and stucked in a car.

that was what I felt during almost an hour of traffic jam right in the middle of nowhere...
it was a good thing that I am a kind of person who could do the impossible in enjoying small and trivial stuffs. :) true!

I tried so hard to find myself some amusing facts and scenes I spotted along the way to Tabalong irrespective of its being dard outside.

The car that took me all the way down to Tabalong had a few stops in between. we had some drinks. stretched our legs...and dinner.

I happened to be a vegetarian and I found it hard to adjust myself to the food. Meat Meat and Meat. or Fish Fish and Fish....grilled fish....baked fish..olala...

no worries.
for I could always soothe myself for something else...

at about 11 pm or so...we finally arrived in Tabalong.
a city full of surprises...
what are those?
well...I will blog them out in my next blogs...
hints: coal mining. big trucks. oil mining. kids. schools. water. air conditioners:). heat. food. shopping. mandau. and stuffs...

but one thing left me speechless....IT WAS indeed a marvellous experience..despite its shortcomings...

I did enjoy my trip to Tabalong.

a new spring bed

after waiting for about six months...(chuckles:) we finally made (by order) our own spring bed. It was a little bigger than the usual size. well..not so big; for it is only 160 X 200 cm long. the funny thing about this particular spring bed is that it has no 'sandaran' (gosh what is it in English" :-) anyway...we designed so...as to make it fit into our small room.

the fact that we really needed this spring bed for 'years' is our simple answer to our raving and rantings of not-so-comfy slumber every night. we slept on a tiny bed squeezed inside the room. every morning we woke up, we felt our bones got numb. ...restless night.

now we don't have to worry about that numbness anymore.
this newly designed bed hopefully will overcome our troubles of nightslumber...

the reason of designing the bed to our design simply lies on its inexpensive price compared to those branded names as American springbed or Airland..and stuffs like that.
our bed is simply called ' Edelweis' (is it a correct spelling for this particular flower's name? :- ) sigh...^-^

so....starting from last night...
we have a good night sleep...well...at least to our senses...^^

Tanjung Tabalong - South Kalimantan

it's been quite a while since the last time I jotted down my thoughts and ponderings...
it's not that I was sooo bussyyy. NOPE. I was just somewhat trapped in a swirling routines...so trapped that I forgot I got this blogger to help me ease the tensions within my mind...:) hmmm
so here I am again...
now I feel like I am talking to myself..for this blog seems to help me out in finding the way out....or so I assumed.

it was only a week...hmm let see..not not even more than a week..since I went back from my jungle-ride trip.:) I was back from South Borneo (present day Kalimantan).
it was actually one of my anticipated trips, for I had never been there before.

the thought of having a chance to go to this 'remote' place induced intriguing feelings and cheers. (the term 'remote' that I just used was improper, actually...for it turned out...South Kalimantan was not that remote after all.). I assumed too much and I proved myself to be partly wrong.

so...I was there for about 3 days.
hillarious three days..I can call it like that.

and why is that?
I will bare all the experiences I got...in my next blogs...

soaking wet....

last week, I went to the beach. well..three beaches exactly. KUkup, Sundak and Parangtritis. with all these Korean gals and guys...we dashed into the white sand beaches 46 km off Yogyakarta. not much to see..but the thing is...
I will never forget the experience I got that day.
some of these guys startled and caught me by surrrrrpriseeee as they snatched me out of nowhere...
and grabbed and rushed me .....right towards the shore....
swang me around and then....plunged me right into the dashing wave.....
gosh.....

i was all wet and...soaking wet.
my handphone, wallet, money, ATM...cards.....are all damped.

I got no other clothes to change...so I bought that thong....for just 10.ooo rups.

cold...
and freezing....all the way to Jogja...

being an examiner

today I got to go to campus early...
so early that I couldn't open up my eyes even when I was already on my motorbike!
gosh.....seven o'clock seemed too early for me, for I haven't got used to having this early job as I used to.
the thing is...I got to be one of the examiners for the new students.

well..I did it.

I got them all taken care of.
I just got to distribute the answer sheet, the question sheet and then waited and waited until the bell signaled the end of the day.:)
some new students looked nervous of having to face the fact that the exam was difficult__ so I found out.

today..I also received my salary.
I got 2.087.000 this month for teaching only.
and another million for just being in the office:) cool, eh?

it's noon already and I got to save most of it.

this evening another term for teaching is about to begin.

new refrigerator and magic com

At home...
now we have this new refridge and magiccom...
well...the panasonic stuff...now stuffed the house.
they look great in the kitchen...^^

the thing is...we've been trying to buy those two things until recently.
and..now..we got two of them.

we start to pack stuff and food into the fridge...
and we could even cook rice right in our home...:) cool, eh?

Illegible for voting...:) ^^

today I cannot join the dean election day...simply because I haven't been accredited to be a full time lecturer..so they say.:(
but...I am fine.
though..a bit dissatisfied and gloomy..I am fine.

today..my bike got a flat tire..and I couldn't find enough time to mend it.
so..I took a taxi and rushed to campus...just to find myself in a predicament of not being allowed to enter the balloting venue...:(
anyway...
i am fine.
so..I guess I'd better go home and enjoy the rest of my day, then...

dvd order's been missing...on the way to Jogja

I've been waiting for my DVD order. I don't think I will tolerate any more delays.
he said he shipped my order last week. but it's been a week and no sign of its coming.
I keep asking the shippin agent if they got the note or something. and none.
I keep calling this guy asking him if he DID send my order.
it's unlikely that he lied...considering he got a whole bunch of dvd titles once I asked him what kinds of movies he got.
...but...I got to be patient..or NOT? wwww####

anyhow...
I will try later...

gosh....'

DVD

I bought...some dvds...again...
the last five dvds I bought were...Hercules, Jurassic Park III, The Wizard of Oz, The Odyssey, and Gloria Estefan live Concert in Miami.
and now..I got a bunch of dvds...
at home...
the only movie entertainment I got..when I am at home.

Kartu As

Now I have KARTU AS (As Card).another cellphone card issued by Telkomsel this particular simcard for my cell phone is somewhat intriguing in a sense that it boasts to give its users free sms services until July 31st. isn't that great?
and that's just the reason I bought it.
In fact..I bought three of them.
one for me. one for my wife and the other for msyd.
and now...we could send sms-es...free of charge.
another reason why we bought it was that..it is much much more cheaper to buy the starter simcard than buying a reload card.
afterall...lots of vendors lured customers to keep changing their numbers or so I assumed.:) well..maybe I could be wrong, though....

the fact is ....now I can send sms to my wife freely without any burdens of having to pay the price...:) hahaha.
but it will only be available till July 31 and that's only a month away.

for the time being...I am using it.
and now....I am using two different Hp numbers..and two different cellphones:)

Rafky...

Rafky...
the story revolves around him.
I bought this book written by an author renowned for his non-standard art of writing. he combines song and words into every novel he wrote. this so called 'lelaki terindah' thing that some say was phenomenal...captured my attention. Even my wife asked me to read the book just to tug her into bed. I suppose she liked the way I read the story....
well..though the story seem so intriguing to talk about in here...
it is way out my comprehension that even my wife liked it.
and was it just a coincidence that we both liked the book.
or was it just....she knew what to do when it comes to commenting on what her husband likes or not...
I didn't have a clue...
but...I read through the book. and
I found it interesting.

even...we plan to give our 2nd son ....a name....RAFKY...:)

what a couple:)
yup...we are this kind of couple...
fun as always...
and try to do things in our own way
so as to make both of us happy

Last Friday in June

today...is Friday.
I started the day a bit late...well..the thing was that..I couldn't concentrate on things when lots of stuffs stuffed my mind.
I woke up at 5.30 or something. dawn prayer. went back to sleep *gee**
and then...woke up again at around 8 just to find that a heap of examination sheets needed my utmost attention to finish. ^^:(((

there it came again...
I was stuck for about an hour...prying my eyes...setting my mind to those tiny and chicken scratched handwritings of my students...:^^^
well..got to finish that later on...; for I got to go to the bank.

I got this 2 mil. or so...that I got to save into my account.
I couldn't handle this money by my own...lest I would spend most of it:)) see what I mean?

and..then...Meity and I went to the bank...and got to wait for about 30 minutes before my turn came around.
I got to hv this queuing number.....
my goodness..it was Friday..and still...people were flocking into the bank just to check their money out or just to invest..I didn't know..
it was just as hectic as any other days...

swell...

then...it was 12.07....and I got to be in a hurry just in time for my Friday Prayer at the Mosque.
we rushed to Kampus Mosque..and there it came again...as usual...the crowds...the flock of cars...
came from all directions ....that I was a little bit choked up...
but then...
I could control myself and tried myself to be as calm as possible
as I set myself in the 2nd floor of the Mosque..
the Kutbah already started when I entered the Mosque...
people were listening to the Imam...
and then..I did.

took about 35 mins. or so...
and I rushed to meet Meity for I got to take her to LIA...as she got a class to teach...at 1 p.m.:)....well. she said it was just an oral class or so...Still at 1 p.m.?

then...I sent an sms to mas yudi asking him where he was...and whether he had had lunch yet...
and to my surprise he told me that he was having his lunch by himself in one Padang restaurant just across the street of the market.
and..there it came again...
I was speeding....so as to be able to catch the glimpse of his face...
and I was right...
he was still there...
waiting...
eating alone...

and a minute after I got off the bike...he finished eating...well I supposed he got to be back into his office lest his boss would consider him 'naughty' ...well...it's true.

we were sitting face to face...
barely spoke a word...
silence broke the table...
and just the heat of summer day closed the gap between us...
I just told him that I was glad to have a chance to see him in person again..
after almost more than a week or so...

and...I said goodbye as he went off to his office.
I was alone again...
and...

I met this police guy who stopped me..:0
I was oblivious of not looking of where I was going.
I should've stopped when the lamp was red:)

Now I got something to do...:)

what a cool day...

Surabaya part III

so, I watched The Day After Tomorrow in Surabaya.
actually...I went to Sby just to see this movie.
well...despites the fact that I had only limited time there...I didn't want to waste any minute of NOt watching this particular movie.
Despite some bad reviews it received, this movie still had this powerful magnet to attract my own curiosity.
the thing is...I like sci-fi movie. this one combines thriller and real-life like stuff...(though some scientific stuffs about global warming and tornadoes did confuse me....:( ^^ stilll...it entertained.

Tunjungan was crowded at that time.
the plane landed at around 10 a.m. and I still had time to look around the terminal just before getting out of the airport.

the bus waited.
I took a ride and let myself relaxed in a not-so-cozy air conditioned bus. To my surprise...some passengers were standing.!! how could they let them ride in this kind of airport bus!!

(knock...knock...knock...anybody home? wake up, Suray...this is Surabaya!! still ...in Indonesia:))) where rules are made to be broken. so they say...:( gosh...what a life...

hey...cheer up...
the ride went on...though:)

okey...

so the bus stopped at the bus terminal where I got to transfer into city bus taking me to Tunjungan Plaza (my last destination in Surabaya that day).

It took me almost 45 minutes to get there. although the bus AC was working...still it couldn't help me from feeling hot. the weather was really really...stiflingly HOT.

thank God...Tunjungan was near.
I got off.
ran away....to avoid the blistering sun shine.

and to my surprise..It was Friday.
and it was around 1 hour before Friday prayer started.
so..I guessed...
I got to buy the movie ticket first..and then jumped off to the nearest mosque I could find there.

hmmmm....I was lucky enough to find...a mosque located on the 8th floor of the plaza. cool, eh?

okey, ../.
as soon as the prayer was over, I ran into the movie theather..and bought one ticket for me:)

At last....
I managed to see the movie....in a theather.:)

what a day.

Eiffel I'm in Love (extended)

Saturday night..
Gosh....I never thought that lots of people wanted to see this movie. the 3.5 hour-long movie really captivated lots of moviegoers around Indonesia..--so I thought. well..at least that was what I saw in Mataram Theater in Jogja.

It was 25 minutes before the last show started. .to my surprise...the parking lot was crowded. it was jammed. not even a small space left. gosh..luckily I managed to dash into some other motorbikes parked.

Only a few tickets were available.
luckily ...some guy at the parking lot told me that I could get the ticket at the back of the ticket booth. (what? )././

well..well..well...it turned out the manager of the theather had a way of selling ticket behind the curtain (officially, though)....so as to avoid the long-queue that has been happening in the last few shows.

so...with the same price..we could get the best seats!

well...for about the next 3 and a half hour...we were absorbed into this eye-candy or candy-eye(?) movie.

good...as I expected..though a bit dry in some scenes...but not bad for a movie this long...it could keep the pace of a teenage romantic story....^^

it was 00.35 when the movie was over.
cold.
got to go home.
riding a motorbike...

and....hungry...!!! hahahaha

Surabaya part II

continued story...about Surabaya,

so....at about 730 in the morning..I took a bath at home. fresssshhh water....
and then I was speeding up to the airport just to rush with the time..
I managed to get the ticket luckily.
Mandala Air...the first time ever.

the thing is that..I just got to be able to make time for everything. I paid for about 200.000 rupiah just for the ticket alone. well.it's fine, so I thought..

So...I got the ticket and I enjoyed the beautiful sky-scenes from Jogja to Surabaya.
what a view!!!!
breathtaking view indeed.
I got the time to enjoy and experience the mountainous areas and paddy field along the way.

sky was so clear that I could feel like touching it.

dizzy...

today..I have been such a *prick*
I didn't know what to do. I just kept doing things in the wrong order. guess... I am not ready, yet.

today.I did my best to finish all the stuffs at the office. still it was sooooooooooooooo hard for me just to finish a few pages.

I don't know what to do..next

things are getting blurry.

but I guess I just got to keep running

In Surabaya...a.l.o.ne.

it's friday..and it's been a week since I had myself buoyed in Surabaya. yup...
I was in Surabaya. A.l.o.n.e. hmmm
what more could I expect from that?
I had this thought of going to Surabaya just to have myself pampered by the luxurious candy-eye movies on theathers.
right off I went to Surabaya by a plane.

it was early in the morning when I woke up and started to think of something..
I needed to get ouf of Jogja for a while just to let myself indulge in the candy-eye movie I had been wanting to see...

I called some airlines asking them whether there had been any extra flights to Surabaya early in the morning. to my surprise there had been some.
so I picked up a an 8.45 direct flight to Surabaya by Mandala Airlines.
It was my first time using the airline..

(up to now..I could boast to myself as having flown with national flag carriers such as Garuda, Merpati, Lion, Citylink, Bourag..and now..Mandala Airlines. WEll..it was cool enough to have a chance to try other airlines apart from International flag carriers I mostly used like Garuda, KAL, Vietnam, Asiana, and Thai Airways).

back to Surabaya story...
well..
before that I think I got to tell a story about what was happening at home...
NO WATER.
no water was running from the pipe. the water was jammed. so we didn't take a bath that day...actually we didn't either the day before. (sigh***)
but..what could I say...

so...my wife and I...together with her sister packed our stuff and ready to go to our home in purwo (aroun 9 km off the road from jalan kaliurang where my parents live)..and off we went there.

and./...I think I got to stop now..
to be continued...

wednesday

today is my first day in the office again..after for about 3 days off from work. the thing is...I got this terrible cold. and now I am feeling much much better than before.
the first thing to do was to prepare some material needed for Korean I final exam. some of my students didn't do their exams. well..I may be to nice to let them have another time for exam.

** it's wednesday..usually I kidnap tfom to hv lunch with me. but today tfom said that da has something else to do & that da has lunch at da's office. so da told me that I can kidnap dat 2mrw. well..that'll be nice, as well.

** today...I checked my email, too. to my surprise..I got this nausea..haha. I mean..lots of emails poured into my mailbox. some of them are from my students at LIA. well.they got this problem of sending their works, for the website I built was jammed or so I thought. some guy had managed to sneak into the site and jammed the content. most of the data was lost. I can't believe it myself till now.

well..nothing is more important than doing things in order now.

having a cold...

I catch a cold. I am helpless now. It's been my second day. well..it all started about a few days ago when I thought I was just tired. sore throat. feeling of nausea. and stuffs...
I was a bit scared of what I was having..for I didn't hv a clue of what I was suffering from.
yesterday..was my 'lucky' day, for I knew for sure that I got a cold. no more than just flu.
I've taken some medicine. most of it has been 'jesscool' some liquid stuff I usually see on TV about sore throat reliever or something.
well..it kinda helped me a lot, for I could feel that I had throat once I drank it.:)

I got some hot soup at Pizza hut yesterday with my wife and her sister. well..it kinda helped me, too.
and today..I had soup again. and "sayur asem" one of my favorite dishes.

sick and helpless as I may...still I got to go to the office this morning.
I just found out lastnight that I got to submit the exam to LIA, for I had a test today. gosh..
so I rushed out to LIA early in the morning....dashing through hectic traffic in Monday morning.

I made it.
I am relieved.

research meeting ...some stuff.

Today I just finished attending the meeting about some research guidelines that I am about to do this coming four months. well..it's kind of good to know that they provide me with some additional information on what I should do during my research project.
The good thing about coming today is that they provide us lunch hahaha. ^^. well...to my surprise: it is not something that I can eat, though; for they prepared some friend chicken !!! hahaha. (I happen to be a vegetarian, you know).
It is not that I don't like attending it, it's just that I am now having two meetings at the same time.
and now look what I'm doing...
I am hooked into my blogger stuff. ***.***
guess I got to finish and jump right to the meeting.

What else?

I haven't returned the movie I borrowed, yet. Not even now. Gosh..what have I done?
and now the most important thing to do is just to relax...if I could!!!
the only thing that left in my mind is the only thing that I can't possibly do without....tfom.

well.
last night I didn't hv a good dinner. I was eating with my mouth shut and eyes closed!!! not to mention...the feeling churning deep down my throat!.
she was--once again--just like what she used to do---kinda making me feel irritated. I thought she was angry of having to fry some crackers for me. she looked so stiff. her face wore the reddest(?) & burning looks she could possibly pose to show off. Gosh..what a terrible feeling I had.
so that's it.
I thought she was angry with me.
I was wrong.
she was being angry with her sister for having broken her promise.

she should've told me what happened. I wouldn't hv been that miserable last night if she had told me what actually happened.
------------------------------------------
anyhow...we got over and talked about it this morning.
----------------------------------------------------------
we're fine now.

I think...

It's June already. and I never thought that I could manage to do what Iv'e been trying to do for the past few days.
I have my silent week now.
I got nothing to do.
I got my new memory card for about 320.000 rupiah.
I got my new books.
I met my friends.
I met tfom.
I managed to go to 5000 rupiah store.
I managed to eat es murni.
I managed to finish the assignment.
I managed to do lots of stuff.
I had a nightmare last night !!!
but luckily she was right next to me.
I haven't returned the movie I rented a few days ago..Kill Bill vol.2
I think they gonna charge me more for delay

Shrek..made my day beautiful...
it made me smile.
in fact I watched it twice already.

Remember the sandwhich?

This page will elaborate more of what happened to me on May 28, 2004. Friday the tiring day.
..as I entered the office...ooy oy oy..before that...^^ I had my breakfast and spent only Rp 3000 for meals. no more than that. and in fact, I was full enough just to have one third of rice, tempe, and of course...sproutsssss.....MY fave vegs.
...now back to the office..
I had decided to finish my proposal of Korean History Textbook writing the day before.

But, then..I was more intrigued by using internet to start writing the proposal. After all, I still had one more important thing lingered or more precisely stucked in my head...>>>revising my project proposal for Hallyu stuff; for it is due by today (the day I am writing this page). Well, I did submit it. and it worked just fine.

Later on, I was obsessed by this blog stuff (hehe; for this new blogworld has already somewhat intrigued, obsessed, and overcome my senses:) well..not really, it's just that things are prettier and easier when I am jotting down my ideas to words.

and at around 10.30..I remembered again that I got to finish the proposal. and there I was.

For about the next 3 hours..I was stucked in front of the computer...typing all I could think of. I was so fully succumbed to this writing process..that I almost forgot I got to go to the Mosque. and I did.
Before having my Friday prayer...as usual..I sent an sms to msyd whether he could have or spare some time to have Friday prayer together at the nearby mosque.

..waiting for about 30 minutes just in time for me to start praying...he never replied my sms.

to my surprise, at about 1 p.m. I got a sms telling me that he'd just bought another voucher for his hp and told me that he'd used up all of his money. So used up that he couldn't even buy a slice of bread for lunch.

knowing that it might or could be a good idea or excuce of meeting him...I was offering him if I could bring over some lunch to his office. But, then he declined. Instead, he said that I would much better concentrate to have a rest for a while or so. So he said.

Well..it wouldn't have been me if I didn't make him meet me. haha.
so..I wrapped some snacks and had a chance to buy two layers of sandwhiches. Good combi.

I rushed to the parking lot, took my bike, sped it out..right to his office which was only a 7 minute ride.

he showed up...grinning. still wearing his Friday prayer's cap. cute. and seemed happy to see me or lunch that I brought hehe. But...one thing for sure..I could grasp some lunch for him. That's something that made me feel relieved, happy, calm..and good about myself.

then..I went back to my office again.
started to write a few more facts here and there to the proposal which was supposed to have been sent to Korea. Luckily, the deadline was at 5 p.m. Seoul time...and that meant 3 pm here.

I managed to finish the proposal..and what a relieving feeling I felt inside.
Things are getting better now.

I am now here enjoying the day ..my free and leisure day..
without any thoughts or stuffs to think about..haha LYING....come on suray..never will you be ever be free of free minds as long as you never give yourself a chance to give in...
righttoooo

---
I prayed ashar.
the only thing left on my mind after praying was that I got to finish another proposal !!!!

YUUUPPPP another one.
you GOT it.
You HEARD it.

another one. I got to revise the proposal or else I won't be able to be eligible for the next research fund.
thank God..I did it. and I managed to make 4 copies of them...and I wrapped them up today.

and so...I am now relieved....

SANDWHICH IS THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN REMEMBER
HAHAHAHA...

Oh No..I thought....Indonesian Idol was...

..gosh...I was late..and so oblivious of what happened. I thought Indonesian Idol was gonna be at 8 pm last night. I waas wrrrroooong. ..
so it happened that I came home right a few minutes before 8 just to find that I had made a mistake.
I missed almost all of the show. the only thing I could grasp at the last minutes was the time when Delon--so he called--was singing his first tune.
and to my surprise..he was the 10th or the last idol-to-be to perform last night. :(((
but..then...luckily enough..I could take a peep on the recap of the show.
jaw-opener.....
I couldn't believe that all of them had great voices.
AFI is nothing..nothing compared to all those 10 idols-to-be. (well, except for Tia Afi).

anwyay..
I was a little bit overwhelmed by the magnitude of the show.

------
Delon? 50% votes....? gosh..
anyhow...
I did see him sing. and He's okey.

today, The Best Day ever..One of them

Today has been a hectic one. Early in the morning, I was having this little usual 'fight' with my wife..hehe:0) well..I am just a suray who's always in a hurry when things get tough...hmmm wellll...not only when things get tought...but MOST of the TIME hehe. I guess..that is simply the reason why morning seems tougher than nights do. (Bla Bla Bla).
anyway...
I went to campus earrlyyy...no no!! I was lying. I was actually late...verrryyy late, for I got check on my computer and my misplaced paperwork just minutes before 7 ( the time when I was supposed to have started teaching hehehe). see what I mean?

anyway...
I arrived at campus just in time to save my day--almost all of my students had been waiting for about 15 mins. or so for me.... and to make matter worse, I didn't copy the grades of the students into my note before I distributed them. To make it even worse, I didn't bring even a pen with me:((( what was happening to me. But, then..luckily (lucky??) I found a pen and without any more waits...I jotted the grades down and started calling each student's name; asking them to receive their grade-added exam paper.

anyway...
I managed to finish my first two hours at campus.

hmmm..right after I finished teaching, I spent a little time with Yang sonsaengnim who was guarding the adjacent's class final examination. nice talk. a little bit of laughters. nagging. and bla bla bla...^..^

anyway...

I will finish this diary later on...
cos I GOT TO SEE INDONESIAN IDOL......
GOSH..GOSH GOSH..IT'S ALMOST 8 P.M. AND I AM STILL AT THE OFFICE..
I GOT TO GO HOMEEEEE....TO SEE INDONESIAN IDOL...

OH MY MY SURAY...

small thought

I had this beautiful day of remembering all the things I did.
Something good is always happening to me whenever I did something good.

Relieved...

I finished teaching this semester. The whole new world is open up right before my eyes..as I finished teaching!!. I started to fell that I am exposed to the unlimited wonders of the world:-P well..at least that's what I feel when you've been doing nothing but...teaching..teaching..and teaching..for the last 6 months. of course..it doesn't mean that I hate teaching..NO. that's not IT.
It was just that I spent most of my time teaching others; while consciously I was just sacrificing my being 'suray'

Starting from this moment..on..never will ever dampen my spirit that is starting to keep soaring high and high...

I just wanna spend the rest of this semester...pondering about my being 'suray'
well, anyone might have some difficulties in understanding what being 'suray' means..
still..I am pretty much sure that out there...some will easily understand and hooked by what being 'suray' means....

I am just what I am...I am just suray who's been in this situation...
I am happy...

More & mOrE WoRk 2 Do

gosh..seems like nothing ever stops...
I just finished handling the project about Korea-stuff. Now..I am face to face with moer stuffs on Korea. Well..looks like nothing ever stops. Luckily nothing ever dampens my spirit of going and going throung all of these. Being there. Been there. Been there.

Not once..not even once have I been more perplexingly overwhelmed by the thoughts of having to meet deadlines like what I AM facing now. One project finished. Another one came. and another one..and another one...

Sometimes I wonder if I would ever stop and have a time of myself to relax and to be free...

Jobs. Corrections. Proposals. Meetings. Courtesy smiles. Real Smiles. Stressed Out.Jobs. Pressure. Being Pressured. Under pressure. Confused. Happy. Relaxed. Relieved. ....never have I been in the situation where I could feel as many as 10 or more feelings at a minute!!!

BUT...as I wrote in my previous blog....I AM FEELING HAPPY TODAY..AND THIS MOMENT, STILL...FOR I HAVE MET tfom.

I am kinda relieved to release all the burdens ...out of my life..today.
I am blessed and happy, today...^^.
hope..it will stay the same...

Been There

Apart from the life I am having now, I still keep the fresh memories of what and where I've been through for--say--the past 10 years. The first encounter of my disguised life started back when I was still a lad--well, not really a lad, for I was 19 y.o.then. Still, the thought of being a naive guy lingered on my mind.

I was happy, then. and I am not saying that I am. I AM. much more happier than I imagined. It is a blessing.
