it is the 61st anniversary of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University.
this morning..I attended a somewhat formal ceremony commemorating the anniversary.
I was pertrified to see not all lecturers and invitee came.
..it led me to conclude that this kind of ceremony might have been considered as something 'too-annually usual' so to speak:)
the thing is...our rector, Mr. Sofian Effendy did make a good impression in his speech. he did it in a somewhat elegant manner which led the audience to do nothing but glued in trying to catch what he said ...every word.
a somewhat different moment when Prof. Sujarwadi had his speech.
everyone was trying hard to decipher what he was talking about...though he DID have some interesting and logical remarks on the importance of arts and humanities in upgrading life in itself.
hmmm...too cheesy? well, I don't think so.
indeed..it was such a glorious ceremony, though.
the PEMOTONGAN TUMPENG thing was eye-opener since it gave the audience a 'signal' that lunch time is coming:)
great lunch I did have today.
